From examining Sephora’s target market insights, it is imperative for Sephora to continue their social media branding strategy and foster an engaging discussion within the Sephora customer community on what and why they love Sephora as a brand, with the #MySephora social media campaign. The #MySephora social media campaign will be an interactive campaign using earned, owned and paid media from Sephora’s own branded content online and through social platforms, user-generated social media content from loyal Sephora brand enthusiasts and sponsored content from beauty influencers on Instagram and YouTube.

 

#MySephora will capitalize on 3 important values: (1) Inclusion, (2) Community and (3) Individuality.

#MySephora will capitalize on the opportunity of appealing to minority customers by showcasing influencers and everyday customers of all different sexual orientations, as well as cultural and ethnic backgrounds. This campaign will also encourage the company’s mission statement: “We believe beauty is for each person to define and ours to celebrate.”

 

Community

This campaign will also reinforce the brand’s mission for its customers “do beauty together.” Sephora customers will be able to comment and follow users using the #MySephora hashtag. This will foster relationships among fellow make-up enthusiasts around the world.

The #MySephora campaign will enable users to show off how they personally use Sephora products to feel beautiful and confident. Having users show off their idea of beauty, empowers and encourages people to be themselves and aligns Sephora as a self-empowerment and self-care brand.

The overall look and feel of this campaign will include Sephora’s brand colors, black and white, with a hint of gold and pink. The content will be clean and fresh lifestyle photos and videos. The campaign will be authentic and invite everyday people to share their favorite Sephora products and learn about new emerging products from other customers.
